Such a fun pre-prom session tonight.  What a delight to work with such lovely young people.  I've known both of these clients since they were in elementary school.  They have grown into amazing young people.

World Autism Awareness Day

This year I took a huge leap of faith and hosted a photography event for World Autism Awareness Day on April 2.  Working with these special kids and their families over the years has shown me the challenges that families face in everyday life.  With things as simple as getting photos taken. So, with the help of three talented Frankfort ladies, Sara Nesselrode, Hillary Dobner and Joa Brance, we created photos for 25 families.  Thanks to everyone who participated!  The event was joyful and such a blessing!  The photos above are some of the best and some of the outtakes from my own sessions.  I hope to see these families again in the future!

I loved meeting sweet Mr. Maddox and his family when they participated in our World Autism Awareness Day photography event.  They happen to be related to one of my online photographer friends who lives a 1000 miles away...small world!  This little guys big brown eyes will melt your heart!

Beauty is in the details: Harrodsburg Lifestyle Photography

I started doing in-home sessions in January this year.  I've only done about a half dozen so far, but I can truly say I AM IN LOVE!  With family.  With real moments.  With capturing a mother's love with the click of the shutter.  The families I have worked with so far for these "Day in the Life" sessions have been a joy!  Maybe I'm overly sentimental in my old age, but watching families interact with one another is a touching thing.  I am honored to be invited into your homes and lives.

Today's sweet family from Harrodsburg lives on a beautiful (albeit muddy) farm property that is soooo gorgeous!  Little Miss E is a petite delight and chunky Baby C was too cute for words.  Thank you for sharing your morning with me.

Miss C is 6 months old!  And Riley is a scary dinosaur!!  Love this family and these kids.  Thanks for being such great clients...it is a joy to watch your family grow.

What a blessing to spend the morning with this beautiful family!  The kids unbelievably cute and sweet.  And this momma is one of the most gentle, Godly mother's that I know.

Buffalo Trace - Frankfort family photographer

I absolutely love photographing generations of a family and this sweet family is one I've known for a while.  I had the youngest in my preschool program and it has been a joy to see him grow and shine.  The family has recently welcomed the first grandson and had a photo session to celebrate.  I'm loving last photo...I hope she does too!  I have always wanted to photograph this young lady.  She is the same age as my youngest and she is just gorgeous.

This is the second time I've had the opportunity to photograph these two little darlings.  Their momma was one of Chloe's dance teacher's last year.  We love Miss Sarah!  

Welcome to baby H and congratulations to his sweet mom and dad.   I did a sneak peek of these a few days ago and wanted to post just a few more.  

I try to always take at least one newborn shot from this perspective.  The view that you see when you hold them in your arms.  That time when they are so small passes way too quickly and it's nice to remember how small your little one was at the start.

Sneak peeks from the weekend...

Two awesome sessions this weekend...one new little man and one great senior girl.  Had a family session too and will give you a sneak peek from that in a bit.

Miss J is a gorgeous senior with a great sense of style.  The camera loved her beautiful smile and bubbly personality.  Thanks for a wonderful session!  Also thanks to the Ruwet family for the load on the farm location.

Baby H is the new blessing of a lovely lady that works at our local library.  She led many groups that my daughter participated in over the years.  It was a joy to meet her new little man and hubby and take some pictures of that sweet little face.

Frankfort toddler photographer: Miss E turns 1!

I've been privileged to photograph this little lady four times this year.  Love watching her grow!  At one she definitely knows what she wants and communicates it well.  She was a joy to photograph.  Thanks to her mom and dad for the opportunity!

Frankfort toddler photographer: the balloon sessions
