This sweet family welcomed their daughter to the world this week and it is evident that she is already a blessing to them.  I was lucky enough to hang out with them for a bit this morning and snap some memories for them while they cuddled and played with their two wonderful children. Buffalo Trace Distillery - my baby girl

OK, if you haven't been to Buffalo Trace for photos...we need to go!  The light there on a spring evening is gorgeous and the property is so beautiful.  So many different views and locations for photos.

There is something poignant about these photos for me.  She's so little girl, swinging on the swing...and then I notice her long legs and the fact that she's wearing MY boots and realize she's so grown up.

My lovely daughter, Chloe.  Love you beautiful girl.  Taken this afternoon at Josephine Sculpture Park.  I look at these and can't believe what I see.  Childhood is fading and you are some strange combination of young woman and girl that I hardly recognize.  Beautiful.  Unique.  You make me proud to be your momma.

Keeneland maternity session

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Keeneland!  The grounds are gorgeous and there are so many wonderful places to take photos.  Today's session was close to sunset and C O L D.  This couple really braved it with a wonderful sense of humor...so thanks to you both!  Hopefully our next session will be much warmer.

Golden hour - Frankfort family photographer

I love the light at sunset.  It is still a challenge for me to work with it, but I love the photos I get.  Yummy warm light.  These little guys belong to a sweet friend of mine; and little man is one of my preK kiddos.  I know momma probably thought we weren't getting any good shots, because they are ALL boy.  But...what do you think now mom?   LOVE this first one!

 The photo below may not be technically perfect; not sharp, slightly out of focus.  But it speaks to me about who the boys are right now.  The time when your kids are little just flies by.  And when your kids are older, like mine, this is how your memories of it appear...brief out of focus flashes of moments.
